Super Blessed.

In case you didn't hear I have a new job. I work with 3 amazing guys. ( I say 3 but really it's 2)  Anyways. I am pretty much considering one of them my favorites right now. Mostly because he's easy to watch and doesn't hate me. Anyways he LOVES the T.V show Extreme home makeovers. If you haven't heard of this show , it's where they go and meet with families who  need a little extra help for whatever reason and completely redo their home. Well I've watched 3 episodes this weekend that have really just put  me to tears.

I watched more than 3 ,but 3 reduced me to tears and that hardly ever happens because usually the show annoys me. Anyways. The first one was about a single father who's wife walked out of them leaving him to raise their 5 boys all alone. They lived in a touch neighborhood full of crime and drug use and all that sad stuff , yet he's managed to keep his boys from all of it. It showed their house , falling apart , the boys slept on the floor. of gross rotting wood. They were having a hard time putting food on the table. Yet all the boys just wanted in their new house was for their dad to have a room of his own , and for a real bed. That's it.

Another family was of a little boy who got leukemia , then beat that, then his lungs failed and had to have a double lung transplant. The 3rd being for a family who's dad was in Iraq. In the end they brought the father back to surprise them.

These just made me feel so blessed. That my parents were married for eternity. That they provided for me and my sisters. It made me appreciate all they do. I was always blessed with a warm , liveable house , with a bed. It made me feel so blessed that i'm marrying my best friend. That we'll be able to provide our future family with those things. It made me thankful for my health. It reminded me that even what felt like my darkest hours when nothing was going right , that I always had it better than some people out there have it. I'm just so blessed. I hope to never forget that.
