Love story with a point part uno

This was the profile picture. How could you not fall in love?

Can I tell you something cheesy? I knew I was going to marry Gregg from the moment I met him. Maybe before then even. You see back in the day when I was single and living in the branbury ( before I even dreamed i'd actually meet him at FHE) I went through our wards phone book. Our phone book had pictures of everyone and where they lived....and their number. Talk about stalking made easy. Well to take it a step further I picked out all the guys I thought were cute in our ward and looked them up on Facebook. Guess who made my top 3 hottie list? Gregg. I saw his profile picture and fell in love.

Well surely enough a few weeks later I met him at FHE. Apparently his calling was part of the FHE leadership thingy. He was in charge of bringing desserts each week and the week before they had gone around and told what their favorite dessert was. One girl said that her favorite dessert was a cucumber ( I know right ?) So in the spirit of being funny , Gregg brought a cucumber for dessert that night. I thought he was the coolest person to walk the planet. After me of course.

Well later that night everyone was talking about school and Gregg said he had to go see one of the plays that UVU was putting on and kind of asked every girl in the room if they'd go on a date with him. (no one said they would) I was actually REALLY bummed that I had to work and couldn't go with him. I really wanted to date this guy. Like I said. I was smitten before even meeting him. I won't go into the story about who he actually took. There's some jealousy there.

Well a few weeks later ( mid march) Gregg found out that my roomie/ ex best friend had a serious fear of broccoli. So , again , in the spirit of being funny he left broccoli on our doorstep and for 4 days we wondered who the heck left broccoli on our porch. The broccoli sat out there for just as long. Finally Gregg fessed up. I knew I had to date him then and so I made the first move. Apparently also making an idiot out of myself. I'll let Gregg tell that story. By the end of March we were going on dates , and on April 1st we were boyfriend and girlfriend.

That's when I knew. I knew I was going to marry him. Long story short I had prayed about it a few weeks earlier and I knew the next guy I dated would be the one. A week after we were dating ( crazy , risky , stupid i know) I told him that I loved him and that I was going to marry him. Yes he was concerned , but 2 weeks later he was at least telling me he loved me. The whole marrying me part took a whole year of convincing , but I finally won out. Lucky for me. So cheesy maybe. I loved him though. Always have , Always will.
