Today During my first Prenatal Appointment I learned :
- That we are in fact 6 weeks pregnant.
- That my veins like to roll
- That I need more Iron in my diet. On top of the prenatal vitamins I already take
- That my blood has the ability to stop flowing. Of its own free will , then start flowing again. Talk about a way to freak out your doctor and nurse.
- That pelvic exams are NOT a fun thing to take on.
- That the toilet in the office is cool -heated seats , i'm already in love. where can i get one of those ?
So yes , we're pregnant . Our little bundle of joy is expected to join us around September 15. Are we excited ? Absolutely.

ReplyDeleteWoohoo!!! :] So so exciting! And what does it mean that your veins roll?? And that your blood can stop flowing?! Craziness!! But, I am so so excited for you! I can't wait til we both know what we are having!
ReplyDeleteThe nurse totally had the needle in my arm and then my vein moved. Which is what they call a vein roll. Since they couldn't find a vein in my arm that was good enough we ended up getting my blood drawn from my hand with a butterfly something or the other. At one point the blood just stopped. So My dr moved the needle around and it would slowly drip. Then stop. It was very interesting.
