I had a pretty "busy" day today. I got off work at 9ish. Then Gregg and I took a nap from 9am to 2:45 pm . { I know it's really shocking we didn't have another one of our 14 hour sleep days.} Then from 3pm ~4pm I was running Gregg to work and then to laundry. FINALLY at 4:30ish pm I got to go hang out with one of my Pregnant friends out here in Utah. {She's due like 2 days behind me.}
She works at a gorgeous apartment complex , so while I was there she gave me a tour of the 2 bedroom apartments that I've been desperately trying to talk Gregg into letting us move into. Seriously I'd live there the rest of my life if I could. I could picture myself making dinner as Gregg plays with baby. {In an ideal world where I didn't have to work 40 hours after my baby is born , that's what would be going on.}
Then I did some semi-unnecessary shopping. I got a diaper bag , {wholly banana that put me out $45 but it's super nice } One packet of the brand of Pacifiers I want , {tommee tippee} and One bottle . That's right friends. I was not about to spend $20 dollars on 3 bottles when I was already paying $45 dollars for a diaper bag. { The bottle is also tommee tippee brand.} I want mostly the Tommee Tippee brand because I plan on Exclusively ...I'll call it nursing , and I hear this brand is the best for interchanging between nursing and bottles. This would be perfect since I'll have to work 40 hours and Gregg will be the only one home with the baby.
Anyways. Just for fun I bought the Intelligender tests which I hear are about... 85-90% accurate on guessing the correct gender you're having at 15+ weeks . I figure since doc isn't playing nice and pushed my appointment back and probably won't give me a guess anyways I wanted to try it out just for funsies. It will be interesting to see if it's right or not :)
Then I went to the grocery store with every intent to buy stuff for our 72hr emergency kits and groceries. I walked out there with almost everything I needed for the 72hr kits and practically nothing from our grocery list because I went in hungry. I ended up buying a LOT of candy. There was also healthy cereal thrown in for me and Gregg's favorite cereal thrown in for him. Along with a few of the ingredients for like 2 of our meals next week. Of course I was trying to do this shopping off of my brain because I forgot to bring the list. { I could have walked across the street and gotten it but i'm telling you my back was KILLING me. }
Moral of the story ? Don't let me in a grocery store without my list while pregnant and hungry. Bad things happen to good people and Express lines { hey they had it in super small print. I didn't see it} get held up. At least if there's an emergency we won't starve :)

Yay for buying baby things!! :] I think you should post pictures! Especially of your diaper bag! I need to start looking for a good one of those!
ReplyDeleteOh I didn't even think of that! I'll definitely grab a picture of it and the bottle and such tomorrow. Holy cow I'm tired lately that I didn't even grab pictures of this stuff.
