One of the girls I watch came up to me and we had the following conversation :
N: Afton , my tummy still hurts.
A: well have you taken your meds ?
N: No.
A :Well have you eaten dinner yet ?
N: No.
A: Well why don't you try and eat dinner and take your Meds. If you still don't feel good after that I'll give you one of my tums at 11.
N: okay....
She's doing what I told her to try , but seriously ? I have no clue what to tell her. I feel rotten.
In other news my "kids" say the darndest things. Today that included....
J: " the spiders are always around me , they're going to eat me. "
I: " Afton do you think you can handle walking down the hill? "
*and my personal favorite.*
N: " I have really bad gas."
Thank you and goodnight. I'm going to be here all night. No. Seriously. I am.

ReplyDeleteI work for a group home taking care of people with disabilities or who are court ordered to be here. It's a great lazy job , but it has it's tough days.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine that some days would just be really tough. Do you always work night shifts?
ReplyDeleteWell , I work a mix between grave shifts and afternoon/evening shifts. Wednesday I worked a morning shift. I try to work evenings though that way Gregg and I are at work at the same time.
