So Thanksgiving was an adventure. We were originally going to go to Georgia , but that didn't pan out , so we went to Gregg's parents again! I love Thanksgiving there , so it wasn't even a big deal. On Thanksgiving we ( I ) dressed Zoe in her Thanksgiving Outfit pictured above. There were pants too , but Zoe had gotten shots , and spent the rest of the week throwing up and having a seriously bad case of diarrhea (TMI?) so they eventually got pulled off.
The Brinkerhoff's go all out and make zillions of pies. Not to mention they're related to everyone in the world (well not everyone ,but sometimes to me at least , it definitely feels that way. ) and everyone else brings a pie. I know we brought 2 the past 2 years. This year there were 26 pies to 25 people. I'm pretty sure 19 were adults , the rest were kids. The count would've been 26 to 26 people , but Zoe can't eat yet so I told them she doesn't count.
Then on Saturday Grandma and Grandpa watched Zoe so Gregg and I could go on our first ever real date post baby. We decided to go bowling and get shakes. I would post a picture of our scores , but it's really embarrassing. I'm not even kidding. We never broke 90 let alone 100. My dreams of one day joining a bowling league are circling down the drain.
And in the mix of the week we got to spend together, we spent every night playing Ticket to Ride with Aunt Amy , and seeing small town parades. This one was the parade of lights. They do this every year the day after thanksgiving. The family next to us counted floats. 7 my friends. The family was also excited because it was finally more than 6. Oh my.
Gotta go update my food blog now I guess. I'll post the link later kay?
