Hi! I'm Afton and I'm so stoked you decided to stop by!!!

I'm a Georgia raised Southern Girl who now resides in Utah with my little family , Gregg and Zoe! A few of my favorite things are Pitch Perfect , New Girl , pizza , any diet soda ( but especially diet dr. pepper.) , Halloween , and Giraffes. A random fun fact about me is that One Direction is my guilty pleasure. 

I love cooking , crafting , and my family. I grew up watching my mom do all these things and they've burrowed their way into a special place in my heart. If you look at my pinterest board you will find so many boards dedicated to my love of all things homemaking. ( Just don't look at my house haha. ) 

I originally started this blog my freshman year of college as a way to keep my family updated on what I was doing across the country. As I've grown up and started a family of my own it kind of shifted into a way to keep my family updated and in the loop about their new grandchild/niece. As I've continued to grow I'm slowly trying to adapt it to include a larger audience. To share my love of my favorite hobbies! 

This blog has undergone many name changes. The most recent ( and probably final change)  to Becoming Brinkerhoff. I settled on this name because I married into the Brinkerhoff family. So I wanted this blog to have something to reflect the journey that is taking on a new name and family. I've loved growing up a Newberry , but now it's time to become a Brinkerhoff. Does that make any sense ? haha. I also felt like should I actually decide to open up a shop to sell my crafts I make , that Becoming Brinkerhoff would make a semi decent Instagram name for my shop. So we'll see where this new name takes me together :)
