Our "B" date and Dinner

So Gregg and I have both had super busy weeks and weren't feeling up to an official "B" date , so in an honest attempt at keeping up the dates we went to best buy to use Gregg's Christmas present from my parents. So mom , dad , thanks for buying us this rocking new game for our "B" date / Christmas present 2010.

For dinner I made Gregg's favorite meal that i've been making him since we first started dating. Lemon-Basil pork chops. What's even better is my mom sent me this recipe off of a weight watchers or whatever diet plan that I guess someone in her office was going on. ( I feel like I should mention she put our family on it for a while , which resulted in some yummy eggplant dinner thingies. Anyways I was awesome and made these for Gregg because he's been begging for them.

Lemon Basil Pork Chops

Ingredients
  • 1 cup bread crumbs ( I use the Italian seasoning ones)
  • 1 Tablespoon of  Lemon-Pepper seasoning
  • 1 Teaspoon of Basil seasoning
  • 2 Eggs

Directions
  • In one bowl mix together the breadcrumbs and all the seasonings.
  • In the other bowl crack the eggs and whisk them
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Dip the pork chops in the egg mixture and then roll around in the seasoning mix. Place in a pan. Cook until brown and crispy on outside , and all white in the middle. about 30 min.

I know this sounds really vague , but I have how to do it memorized and not on an actual recipe anymore , so This is just typed from my memory. It's super easy though if you couldn't tell and I promise the boys love it. My green beans in the picture were actually a little experiment of mine. I took a can of french cut green beans , put it in the microwave with a little bit of butter for 1 minute. Then I added lemon pepper seasoning , regular black pepper and salt. It was actually really good and I think i'll make them like that from now on :)

Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed my dinner and date post. Have a great evening!
