DIY date night with myself

Oh pinterest the website with amazing crafts. Tonight Gregg is working a grave I was lonely and couldn't sleep. So I decided to have a DIY date night with me , myself , and I. Oh my I loved it. I'm thinking about doing my nails even ! I decided to take a break to share what i've done so far though.

Brown Sugar face scrub
1st of all we have a horribly clogged tub drain. Gregg really didn't want to spend the money on a drain cleaner so I decided to find something we could do with just Stuff we had in the house. BINGO!!! I found a website that has a recipe for just the thing. 1Cup Vinegar ( Don't use apple cider vinegar it doesn't work as well.) and 1cup Baking Soda. I had to pour it down in alternating shifts starting with the baking soda (As the recipe said to start with) to get all of it in. Wait about 10 minutes and pour REALLY hot water down. It should clear up pretty quickly after that.

While unclogging the tub I multi-tasked and Did a foot treatment that helps with cracked heels and blackened feet. Being a southern girl , I love to go around barefoot so A little dirt is always visible on my feet , and my heels usually are cracked. Not after this though.

An easy six-step solution:
  1. Put shaving cream on your feet.
  2. In a bucket or sink, combine equal parts warm water and Listerine.
  3. Soak a small hand towel in the solution of water and Listerine.
  4. While the shaving cream is still on your feet wrap the wet hand towel around your feet and let it sit for 30 minutes.
  5. After 30 minutes, use the towel to rub your feet. Some of the calloused and discolored skin will rub off.
  6. Apply a healthy amount of lotion to your feet.
Make sure you dry your feet really good after you do the foot "bath" So you don't cause bacterial growth or an infection. Also you should only do it once a week because it takes off a layer of skin. I can't do it even that much probably because it actually gave me a rash , but I have super sensitive skin apparently. So don't let that scare you off either. It works really well and I plan on doing this maybe once a month.

Last of all I did a face wash deal. The closest thing I can compare this to is a microderm abrasion treatment. It's simply Brown Sugar and Honey. Mix it together and rub it on your face.  Brown sugar exfoliates the skin ridding the pores of all dirt, oil and dead skin cells causing blemishes. Honey is naturally antibacterial, so as the brown sugar scrubs away the things clogging pores, the honey cleans out the sources for this buildup to prevent future breakouts. It will hurt a leetle bit. Like rubbing sandpaper on your face. Trust me it's worth it though. It gets rid of everything on your face leaving it feeling and looking  super clean. After I washed it off , I put on some of my husbands moisturizing lotion to put some moisture back into my face. TA-DA !  You're looking brand new and smelling great. NO JOKE.

And that was my DIY date night.
