Sock Bun

Lately I've gotten really adventurous with my hair. Okay not super adventurous , but I have been trying new hairstyles. Today I tried the sock bun/curls that I had seen all over pinterest. Well they didn't turn out as great as they looked on pinterest , but I think it was partially because I started out with wet hair and took them out before my hair dried. I'm going to try this again another day to see if it works any differently.
This hairstyle is fairly simple. Find a sock with a missing pair. or just socks you don't use too often. Cut the toes off . roll the sock to where it looks like a doughnut. Pull your hair up into a ponytail at the desired height. I tried to do mine fairly high since I wanted the curls to start higher on my head when the sock was removed. then you'll put your ponytail through the hole in the sock doughnut. Curl the tips of your hair over the outside of the sock doughnut and start rolling it down towards your head. Then you'll have the perfect bun so use bobby pins and pin it to your head. I used hairspray to keep it in tact.

To get the curls you take the bun out the next day or after your hair dries. And you'll have curls in a ponytail. You can also take the ponytail out and have regular curls like I did. I ratted my hair to get some volume at the roots , but other than that it's all natural sock bun curls. I love it.
