This post is for my mamma. I told everyone i'd be blogging about my budget meals. Meaning $5 or less per meal. This meal was the first budget meal I made and I just never got around to blogging about it so Here it goes :)
CROCK POT BUFFALO CHICKEN
3-LB bag of Frozen Chicken (I used boneless chicken breasts like 4 of them)
Franks Red hot wings buffalo sauce
Packet of hidden valley ranch dip mix
2 Tbsp butter
That's all the ingredients. Seriously.
- Put frozen Chicken and the ranch mix into your crock pot
- Cook on low 6-7 hours.
- Shred chicken and add return to crock pot ( I used forks but you can use your mixer too
- Add butter. And don't be like me and forget this step. There is a difference.
- cook on low for another hour
I actually cooked this on High for like 4 hours. Because i'm impatient. Also like I said I totally forgot about the butter and it ended up being pretty spicy. For me. Gregg says the butter probably would've made the taste a bit milder. ( I've heard of people whose 1yr olds eat this like crazy , so it's not supposed to be super spicy. I guess.)
The actual ingredients cost a little bit more than $5 depending on how much chicken you're getting and such , but It lasted Gregg and I a good 2 weeks so overall when you break it down by how long it lasted , it was actually pretty cheap.
And that is the delicious Buffalo Chicken.
That is so easy! I could totally handle that! MMM! I'm starving right now! Haha. And I am going to love these budget meals because I need to be better about cooking for my husband! And I totally ask my husband what I should title my blog posts too!
