August 4th the day of my baby shower here in Utah , I spent the morning in Labor and Delivery. Again. Our little Zoe bear decided that she'd try for an early appearance. Sorry gal we're ahead of you. ( I'm not as sorry.) I go in for the worlds most painful contractions... or at least I think they were. I have yet to be in "real labor". They check my cervix to see what's going on since I was definitely feeling the need to push.
Turns out I was 2.5 almost 3cm dilated and 70% effaced. Plus Zoe baby's head was SUPER low. At least that's what the nurse told me. Since I was just under the cutoff for some test they can do to see if you're going to have a baby in 2 weeks they went ahead and ran it. If it came out positive ( mine did) then they'd give me shots to stop the contractions. Which they did. and they hurt bad. After 4 hours I was pumped up on all sorts of good stuff and sent home. We went to my in laws for my baby shower instead. The nurse was concerned but let me go anyways.
While there I got lots of good stuff. This is the picture of the clothes from both showers and our hand me downs from my sister in law.
The next day was Gregg and I's 1 year anniversary ! Go us. We spent almost the whole day not with each other which kinda bummed us out a whole lot.
I also had a birthday on the 2nd which we spent in Salt lake eating Leatherbys and hanging out with friends. It was pretty awesome.
Then today. Oh today. Our toilet flooded. and then it flooded our entire bedroom. It was like walking in a pond. So we decided we're going to move. Soon. which will be really fun either being borderline baby or having a BRAND NEW baby. neither sounds enjoyable to me , but our toilet has flooded 3 times in the last 7 months. Which isn't a good thing for preggy Afton or a newborn baby. So we might as well right ?
Also I've been really sore which means I'm probably super dilated. Guess we'll find out tomorrow. Also
Bah! I hope everything is okay and she doesn't try to come too early! Good luck with everything and I'm so excited for you to meet your sweet baby girl soon!
