September Blog Challenge #4

A story about a time you were very afraid.

There are SO many times I've been afraid , but I'll just tell you about the most recent one.

So back in August , my cousin was staying with us for a few days between the semester ending and her flight home to Texas. Well, We went out for pizza , came home , ate the pizza , and then all went to bed. Well 4am rolls around and my cousin knocks on our bedroom door. I didn't hear her text come through , but it said that there was a strange man in our apartment and that she wanted us to come out. Obviously since we didn't get the text she knocked on our door. I've already mentioned that though. As soon as I saw the text though , I was FREAKING out.

What if he tried to hurt us ? What if he hurt my baby? Who the heck came into my apartment ?! So obviously I sent Gregg to deal with the strange man while I checked on my baby. Who thankfully was fast asleep in her crib. Well until I went in. So my husband spent a  few minutes trying to wake up the strange man who turned out to be our SUPER drunk neighbor. I finally went out and told him (our neighbor) "I'm calling the cops." Obviously he didn't care. So everyone who wasn't the strange man , shut ourselves in the baby's room. I called the cops and they came over.

So eventually the cops came , got the guy out of our apartment, offered to let us press charges. My husband the saint didn't press any charges , because we didn't want to make this into a huge ordeal. The truth is , to this day , I'm terrified of staying at our apartment by myself now. Especially when Gregg works grave shifts. So I spend time trying to find activities outside the house that Zoe and I can do together while Gregg is gone. Oh and looking for new apartments. I for one am DEFINITELY moving out once our contract is up.

P.S , I think Gregg is secretly afraid too , because if we know the neighbor is outside he will wait to go outside until the neighbor is gone.
